65. Enoplognatha Ovata


I found this little spider (about 5mm long) in my kitchen sink - what it was doing there I don't know, but it seemed to have drowned somehow. I probably brought it in with a few wild flowers I was planning to photograph. Unfortunately I couldn't see on the camera that the eyes weren't quite in focus - but at least you can clearly see the really transparent legs.

As far as I can figure out its the species Enoplognatha Ovata - but I'm not completely sure.

Lens and flash: Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro + Canon Speedlite 430EX

Post processing: Cropped, increased contrast and clarity, sharpened some and desaturated a little.
