44. Coenagrion Puella Mating


Instead of the photo promised yesterday I chose to post this one because I like it better.

This is two couples of coenagrion puella (Azure Damselfly) in the process of mating shot while I was taking a stroll along Trekroner Lake.

Nothing much to say. Shot it using a 100-300mm lens. Post processing include cropping, levels adjustments, increasing contrast and increasing color vibrance a little.

  • Jm (365,000 words): Like so many of your pictures, the colours are so vivid. Really nice. (And even though the damselflies in the top are understandably a little bit blurry, this picture has the feel of something worthy of National Geographic.)
