179. Anemone Nemorosa

179. Anemone Nemorosa

The forest is always such a nice place this time of the year. Firstly the trees are about to explode into their green summer outfit and secondly - before this happens - the ground is covered with the common wood anemone almost everywhere. You have to enjoy it while it lasts before the trees block the sun from getting to them.

Thus I've been in the forest a couple of times lately - and of course tried to capture the beauty. However I didn't really take the time to do it properly, so this photo is the best I got. I wanted the flowers to be close up while still having the visible blue sky - but the background with the trees are too cluttered (I should have found a better location) and I didn't get it quite sharp enough (I should have brought the tripod - which would also have helped to slow down the process). All this in spite, I think it's worth posting - if just for the sheer joy of having spring and summer arriving.
