115. Lake With White Flowers


This photo is from a little trip with a friend to a local quarry. Suddenly we stumbled upon this neat little lake with a patch of white flowers - quite a nice find.

To get this photo, I set up my tripod with the camera about half a meter above the water (the tripod was actually standing partly in the water) and mounted my flash on a off shoe cord to get the light from the side. This lit the flowers up quite nicely and balanced the exposure of the whole photo - which would have been impossible in a single exposure otherwise.
